Spoilers ahead！ Child Emperor continues to battle with Ressurected Phoenix Man while rescuing Waganma。 He almost is defeated， but Saitama shows up and helps CE in a very understated way， so much so that CE doesn't even realize it。 Zombie Man， while hating breaking a sweat， whips a bunch of ass after a battle with a Vampire Dude。Amai Mask and some others duke it out with that Sexy Slave chick。 We almost get a full show of what Amai's powers are but it's ruined by the others- he doesn't want anyon Spoilers ahead！ Child Emperor continues to battle with Ressurected Phoenix Man while rescuing Waganma。 He almost is defeated， but Saitama shows up and helps CE in a very understated way， so much so that CE doesn't even realize it。 Zombie Man， while hating breaking a sweat， whips a bunch of ass after a battle with a Vampire Dude。Amai Mask and some others duke it out with that Sexy Slave chick。 We almost get a full show of what Amai's powers are but it's ruined by the others- he doesn't want anyone to see his skills for some reason。 。。。more

Not exactly what I have expected in this volume， but One-Punch Man Vol。22 has a chunk of quiet， heartful moments。 They weren't quite that enotionally effective for me， but such breaks from action is a breather brings a lot in charecter development to both Child Emperor and Saitama。The two lesser fights in this volume are fun and short， but nothong out of the extraordinary to remember。 Not exactly what I have expected in this volume， but One-Punch Man Vol。22 has a chunk of quiet， heartful moments。 They weren't quite that enotionally effective for me， but such breaks from action is a breather brings a lot in charecter development to both Child Emperor and Saitama。The two lesser fights in this volume are fun and short， but nothong out of the extraordinary to remember。 。。。more

How to flip the bird（man）With Waganma secured by Child Emperor the now resurrected Phoenix Man is back and even stronger as he is now able to not only take on the power of whatever bird his costume takes the form of but also allows him to take others into a metaphysical world between user and costumes where spirits once met ages ago （shamanism One Punch style。） Already feeling underappreciated and unsure of there is a mole in the hero association Child Emperor's opponent is more then capable of How to flip the bird（man）With Waganma secured by Child Emperor the now resurrected Phoenix Man is back and even stronger as he is now able to not only take on the power of whatever bird his costume takes the form of but also allows him to take others into a metaphysical world between user and costumes where spirits once met ages ago （shamanism One Punch style。） Already feeling underappreciated and unsure of there is a mole in the hero association Child Emperor's opponent is more then capable of attacking his psyche as his physical body while conflicts erupt through out t he underground monster labyrinth。Also within this volume you see Zombieman showing how insanely hard fighting a hero who can never truly die can be and a little more insight in how dangerous A class hero Amai Mask can be when an old villain returns with her minions。 Of course as always the art is amazing （especially considering the original source） and has its fill of huge multi page fight panels making it a short read though the characters continue to entertain。As always my only real regret is although Saitama is also in the sewers along with the other heroes he is so powerful that if he was actively taking out threats the books would have a lot less action and a lot more scared monsters so he is regulated to careless voyager in the underground passages because he wants to stop all the racket he hears up above。 Darn noisy kids！ Well at least he gets some action in this manga though no serious action。 I can hardly wait to see him take on the big bad assuming he even gets to him。 This is a book primarily about Saitama right？ :） 。。。more

4。5 stars。Loved it as per usual for my favorite manga of all time！ The artwork continues to impress， the action is practically non stop and the characters are amazing。 The humor is on point as always。

So much action！ Child Emperor's battle with Phoenix Man continues， and some of it is psychological。 When things heat up， C。E。 blats down through the ground to find a water source， and oh hey look！ Saitama finally gets to do something！ Zombieman gets a really good battle， thrown into a fight with a super vampire by a bunch of monsters looking for some entertainment。 He also gets a cute little bonus story at the end。 We get a teaser of a Pig God fight， and then a fight that happens for two reasons So much action！ Child Emperor's battle with Phoenix Man continues， and some of it is psychological。 When things heat up， C。E。 blats down through the ground to find a water source， and oh hey look！ Saitama finally gets to do something！ Zombieman gets a really good battle， thrown into a fight with a super vampire by a bunch of monsters looking for some entertainment。 He also gets a cute little bonus story at the end。 We get a teaser of a Pig God fight， and then a fight that happens for two reasons: Amai Mask shows up to help out a few lower level heroes fighting the mind-controlled troops hired by the kidnapped kid's father， and acts creepy and sketchy AF while fighting their leader， and their leader turns out to be an evil dominatrix who can hypnotize and control others with her whip。 Lots o' fan service going on with her admittedly cool but only there for some eye candy dom outfit。 We learn a secret about Amai Mask that throws in some tasty intrigue， and a bit of a standoff between him and the other heroes。 The story does actually progress a bit， yay！ We get some cool fights， some feels， Saitama's finally back， plus some things to ponder until the next volume as well。 Now we're starting to get somewhere。#OnePunchManVol22 #NetGalley 。。。more

ExpansiveThe fight with the monster association continues， emphasizing tertiary characters， what they do， and why they matter。 Saitama keeps them safe while they prove their might， achieving true victories while he kills the vultures。 Fantastic action and incredible detail on every page of this five minutes of combat。

This volume spends most of it's time with Child Emperor fighting Resurrected Phoenix Man and it's not just a physical fight。 Resurrected Phoenix Man tries to appeal to Child Emperor's intellect， inner darkness and how unappreciated he feels by the adult heroes。 It's an interesting twist and it does change the stakes。 then spoiler， spoiler， spoiler。 -Saitama is back in this one and Child Emperor still has no idea who he really is or what he can do， so nothing new there。 The story pivots to Zombie This volume spends most of it's time with Child Emperor fighting Resurrected Phoenix Man and it's not just a physical fight。 Resurrected Phoenix Man tries to appeal to Child Emperor's intellect， inner darkness and how unappreciated he feels by the adult heroes。 It's an interesting twist and it does change the stakes。 then spoiler， spoiler， spoiler。 -Saitama is back in this one and Child Emperor still has no idea who he really is or what he can do， so nothing new there。 The story pivots to Zombieman who says "I'm not good at fighting。 My specialties are espionage， intelligence and investigating contaminated areas。" He then proceeds to be good at fighting in one of the gorier fights they've included in a while。 It's great。 Pig God is teased for 2 pages， so I'm wondering if we'll see that fight in Vol 23？ We get a little more of Amai Mask being super sketchy and quite sociopathic。 My respect for Iaian goes up in this last section and Bushi Drill and Okama Itachi show that they are learning by example from both Iaian and Atomic Samurai。 - All in all a very entertaining volume and the plot does move （even slowly） forward towards saving Waganma as he's in Child Emperor's care still。 。。。more

One-Punch Man， Vol。 22 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next five chapters （102–106） of the on-going manga series with a bonus story。The tankōbon continues the Monster Association Arc and concludes the fight between the Child Emperor and Phoenix Man， who has the powers of resurrecting into a more powerful being。 Child Emperor is tested to his limits， but manages to defeat him and manages to rescue Waganma， the son of Narinki， a high-raking executive and one of the One-Punch Man， Vol。 22 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next five chapters （102–106） of the on-going manga series with a bonus story。The tankōbon continues the Monster Association Arc and concludes the fight between the Child Emperor and Phoenix Man， who has the powers of resurrecting into a more powerful being。 Child Emperor is tested to his limits， but manages to defeat him and manages to rescue Waganma， the son of Narinki， a high-raking executive and one of the primary sponsors of the Hero Association。The middle chapter focuses on Zombieman and his battle against Vampire from the Monster Association。 While the last two chapters are focused on Iaian， Bushidrill， and Okkamaitachi – disciples of Atomic Samurai who witness the battle of Sweet Mask vs。 Do-S and the aftermath of the unseen battle between Pig God vs。 The Great Food Tub。 Meanwhile Saitama is just wondering around lost looking for a good battle to fight and finding none。This tankōbon is written by One and illustrated by Yusuke Murata。 The tankōbon continues the battle with the Monster Association， which seems like it is taking forever。 The focus is divided on many battles happening simultaneously， which gives the grandness of the fight， but it is getting slightly tiresome。 However， it is nice to see other heroes show their abilities as if Saitama is in the middle of the fight it would end too quickly – with just a punch。All in all， One-Punch Man， Vol。 22 is a good continuation to a new series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read more。 。。。more
